Delete your timre account and data

This page explains how to delete your account for timre, the Android app published on Google Play by Castro K Joseph. Deletion is immediate and you don't need to ask us for permission.

Delete it yourself, in the app

1. Open timre.
2. Tap the gear icon in the top right of the Today screen to open Settings.
3. Scroll to Privacy & data.
4. Tap Export my data first if you want a copy — it saves everything as a single JSON file you keep.
5. Tap Delete account and data and confirm.

Your account and everything in it is deleted from our servers straight away, the app signs out, and the copy on the phone is wiped. There is no waiting period and no way for us to restore it afterwards.

If you've already uninstalled the app

Email hello@timre.app from the Google account you signed in with, with the subject Delete my timre account. We delete the account within 7 days and reply to confirm. We'll only ask you to confirm the email address — never a password.

What is deleted

Everything tied to your account is removed immediately:

• Your goal and your “why”.
• The apps you monitor, their limits, and your routines.
• Daily totals per app, wall counts and your responses to them.
• Deep Work presets and session history.
• Reminder lines you wrote or generated, including which ones you hearted or muted.
• Your “why” photos and captions, deleted from private storage.
• The list of devices signed in to the account.
• Your sign-in record, including the email address and name from your Google account.

What is kept, and for how long

• Crash reports and usage analytics — about 90 days. These are held by our error-monitoring and analytics providers (Sentry and PostHog), keyed to an opaque identifier. They contain no goal text, no messages, no photos, and no record of which apps you monitor or for how long. They expire automatically.
• Nothing else. We keep no backup copy of your account after deletion, and no anonymised export of your data.
• Your Google account is untouched. Deleting your timre account doesn't affect it. You can also disconnect timre at any time under your Google account's third-party connections.
• Purchases are handled by Google Play. If you subscribed to Pro, cancel the subscription in the Play Store; deleting your timre account doesn't cancel billing, and Google keeps its own purchase record.

Deleting only part of your data

You don't have to delete the whole account to remove things:

• Remove a monitored app, and its limit and history stop syncing.
• Delete a “why” photo under Plan → Your why.
• Delete any reminder line you wrote.
• Remove an old phone under Settings → Devices.
• Sign out, and the app keeps working with everything held only on the phone.

When you delete one of these, it disappears from every device you're signed in to. A small record that the item was deleted stays until you delete your account, so your other phones don't bring it back on the next sync.

What never reaches us at all

Which apps you open and for how long is measured on the phone and never uploaded. Only daily totals per monitored app sync to your account. Photos are stored in a private bucket only your account can read. There is nothing to delete on our side for that, because it was never uploaded — uninstalling the app removes it with everything else on the phone.
